Just got my first smoker to cook some butts for my retirement party. Butts came out OK, I believe the thermometer is off, they cooked too fast. Anyway, I stumbled across this site while looking for recipes and I love what I've found here.

Summerville is about 30 miles outside Charleston so we pretty much have year round smoking weather, I will be getting my moneys worth out of it. BTW its a 30in electric, nothing too fancy for the first go round.

Look forward to many good ideas, stories and tips!

Patrick
