Hello everyone. My name is Mike and i live in Grapevine TX (10 minutes from the DFW airport if that helps). Moved here about a year ago after living in southern california for 13 years. Originally from Baton Rouge, but moved all over the country in chase of a paycheckAt any rate, I've cooked on gas grills forever but i wanted to move to charcoal for flavor and to be able to smoke meats as wellBought an XLG Big Green Egg last winter but didn't use it much. Now that the weather is warming up I am starting to use it more, but i would consider myself a novice at the charcoal cooking/smoking hobby. did a pork butt last weekend and it was awful.
