Phil here. Just wanted to say "hi". I've been at this for about 20 years, starting with an old Brinkmann water smoker, then a New Braunfels horizontal. That finally rotted out last year, so I took the plunge on a more custom rig. Here she is:

I was just seasoning it last weekend and doing a "test" run on some chickens. It's going to take some tweaking to get the temperatures right, since I'm dealing with a much larger firebox and 1/4" thk. material. The NB was so much lighter and smaller; I had that thing really dialed in.

I look forward to participating here, grabbing so good info and sharing some Q pron!

Howdy Flipper! Nice looking rig ya got there! You've come to the right place to seek/disperse knowledge.

Visited NJ for my first time back in March. Connecting flight to Detroit from NJ Liberty got cancelled. Took the train to Manhattan for a visit. Quite an experience for the country boy!

Welcome to the smf Phil. Nice looking rig you have there. Lots of good people on here to answer any questions you might have. Don't forget to post some Q-view for us.

Once again...welcome

Happy Smokin

Steve
