Any GMG owners on hear ever had this problem, I start it and it goes through it's sequence 0,1,2,3 then the temp takes off and goes up high, when I try to hit the up button to set the temp I want it goes directly to Fan. Any Ideas ??
I have never had that problem. I would recommend cleaning out the ash/pellets around the igniter and the putting a few pellets back in the burn pit.(half hand full or so) then fire it up.
Or It may be a bad temp sensor. The sensor is located just inside the cooking chamber on the pellet feeder side about grate level. You may just be able to wash it off. I have had good luck with Green Mountain grills customer support. You might try them. Number is on the website. Hope this helps. Post the rest of the story when you get it fixed. I’m interested in what you find out.
Happened to mine one time. It also had an issue withe fan running constantly and not "chuffing" like a Locomotive. GMG sent me a new controller and it has not acted up since.
after I put the ignitor in it worked but didn't act right, it was like the up and down buttons controlled opposite of what they were suppose to, so I called customer service and they walked me through a couple things and we decided it needed a new control board so I put that in and it is working like a new one
