Once on the Wifi I was able to open the app, go to the Setup page, and the click Grill Options button.

There I noticed the Grill Temperature Adjustment had been changed to -10 at 150 degrees and changed to +15 at 500 degrees. Gee........a 25 degree span. I moved both back to zero. I did the same for the Food Probe Adjustment settings.

Ribs on Sunday. We'll see how things go.
Glad you got the wifi on. Starting at factory setting is a good plan! Sounds like you are getting it dialed in.

I've had a Jim Bowie since 2016 and the only real issues that I've had with it is the auger motor and pellet jams. Somehow water or humidity gets in my auger and swells up the pellets and turns them into concrete. I've broken 2 auger motor pins and I'm on #3 now. Just got a new motor for a quick swap but will replace the pin in the old one to have a back up. I got mine for $300 when I worked for Sportsmans Warehouse and GMG helped me fix it for free since I was an employee and it was a customer return.
I did just buy another Jim Bowie but it's the Prime Plus so it has a window, light( pfft you call that a light?), pimp my grill slide in grill grates and rotisserie for $100. Bought it for the grills to put into my old JB but they don't fit so now I have 2 huge smokers and I just ordered parts to fix both. Man I'm not gonna say it but that's a lot of smokers hehe....my weber smokey mountain might get jealous.

Just be sure you use a shop vac to clean out the pellets in the pot and along the feed tub, there are tiny holes that you can get suction thru on the top of the tube.
