When smoking different meats i was wandering if there is a lot of grease that comes from the meat...I know the smokers have grease trap cups on the bottom but was wandering if anyone uses some kind of container in their smoker say like the cheap aluminun pans to catch it so it doesnt get on the heating element on the bottom or just all over in the bottom...i have an electric smokey hollow smoker..........THANKS

I don't know about other types of smokers, but I keep my water pan covered with foil.

I also keep my bottom drip pan covered with foil.

That takes care of everything that can get dripped on, except for a little bit of the chip burner cover (gets really hot!).

I have to clean that off now & then, or it looks like the boy scouts are camping in there, and they have little campfires going here & there.

Be careful you don't block too much air & heat flow, by putting too large foil pans above your heat source.

I don't foil anything. It cleans up easily with a little Dawn & a brush. Just clean the water pan, empty the ashes & clean the grates 10 minutes tops.
