I really miss the Fish in Michigan. Black Friday Walleye Direct has a pretty good sale. The bag with no label is Northern Pike. They where out of smelt though. I wish that smoked fish trio was all White Fish but it all be good. I just love that Smoked White Fish from a place in Pentwater Mi called Bortell's Fisheries - Seafood Market. Their fried smelt is so good! They were the first place I would go to when I went back there.

Nice pack for the freezer.
There is just something about cold and clean water fish.

Looks like a great haul. I’ll be watching for your cooks on this. I love cold water white meat fish.

I have aways had trouble cooking those skin on yellow perch. They curl as soon as they hit the pan. I have tried scoring the skin but they still curl. Any suggestions? I normally give them I light coat of flour than pan fry with small amount of oil.

Man that Bluegill was so good! I was thinking of ordering again before temp starts getting hot. I wish they had the dressed smelt in stock. Got to order $200 to get the free shipping. The 5 lb Bluegill is really all I want to get. Could get a $100 gift certificate to get the free shipping. I sitting here trying to think of another fish I could get locally? I wish I could catch crappie but never had any luck and guides are crazy high!

The northern pike I got has way to many bones and I was not to crazy about the flavor. Not sure what to do with the rest of it. Still have some Walleye.

Pickled northern, don't have to worry about the extra bones inside. I have a bag my nephew gave me that I have to do up soon.

I second the pickled pike 👍. I wonder (never tried) if you could smoke it and make fish dip like people do with bluefish?

I will be trying this. Thanks.

Learn something new every day , didn't know the bones would dissolve.
