It's a snowy Saturday and another 75lbs of bacon is on the smoker. That brings my total count this year to 687lbs. What a hobbie. I'm thinking about going into the retail/wholesale business with the bacon.  I currently make six flavors and have been selling to friends & family but now I want to start doing farmers markets to see if it will really sell. Any advice, comments or guidance?  I'm in PA.

Good luck, it sounds like you make some fantastic bacon!

Do you need a license to sell at a farmers market?

How about health inspectors?

Do you need to process your bacon in a commercial kitchen?

Usually when you go commercial there are a lot of hoops to jump through.

But maybe a farmers mkt. is different.
