Time to get back.
Fresh ground pork final weight after trim and grinding 5lbs 1.25oz.

Trim the nasty slimy caul from the pork before grinding. I used the medium plate for my grind.

After the grind i double freezer bag putting the zipper ends opposite. Now in the freezer for 2 weeks.

To clean my grinder neck, auger, blade and plate i run bread thru it to clean out any extra meat in the auger tube, Toss this. Yes you will still have to clean and sanitize your gringer parts after.

I dont freeze my grinder parts. I do keep them in a container of rice to keep the moisture off them.
