Make an offer and come get it. New Bern NC. Would like to see it go to someone here. Will put on FB after a few days.
3 years old.
In great shape, BUT …
Auger/pellet jam.
This is my second time, and I just don’t have the health and patience to deal with this again.
Last time CS was great and sent me everything new except for the fan motor and controller. Airbox, auger, auger motor, RTD probe, etc. Even a spare RTD.
I rebuilt and cooked twice with no problems.
Think both times were my fault. Last time was too much rain uncovered, this time I think was mixing some older Weber pellets with the Bear Mountain. I saw a lot of unburned dust in the barrel.
I’ve disassembled/checked … fan is running fine, auger motor is turning when freed from the auger shaft.
Should be fine once auger is freed up.

Hate you had these issues but makes me glad I went with my Hunsaker drum smoker instead of a pellet burner. I kept debating back and forth because I am older now and was looking for the convenience factor. Have a BGE and wanted an addition to it. I absolutely love my drum. Hope you find a buyer buddy!

Did you happen to notice if the time before was with Bear Mountain pellets ? They are longer cut and I had issues in my 590 also.

Yes, it was Bear Mt char hickory, but the excessive rain while uncovered the first time probably woulda been a problem with anything.

The char hickory is the issue. Go to regular pellets and you won’t jam.
Maybe. I really think it was the older Weber pellets I added, because I noticed a lot of tan color sawdust in the barrel of the smoker after the second cook. The first one went fine with just char hickory.

In any event, I have counseled my SIL to stick with Bear Mt hard/fruitwoods or Lumberjack or RecTeq. Sift if you see much dust. Keep them and 590 dry. Don’t update the firmware right now. Should be good for a long long time.

Tell them to throw the charcoal pellets away or just a handful at a time

When they first came out people complained about those pellets jamming the auger because they are too hard

BEFORE HE PASSED MY BUDDY JOHN, Smokin' in AZ Smokin' in AZ , HAD A 590, COOKED GREAT AND NEVER A PROBLEM. ANYTHING THAT PLUGS INTO A WALL OUTLET CAN'T BE LEFT OUT IN THE RAIN, COURSE YOU KNOW THAT. PELLETS JAM, FUSES BLOW, POWER GOES OUT, YOU AIN'T COOKIN'. THAT'S THE NICE THING ABOUT A WEBER KETTLE, THEY ALWAYS WORK, BETTER SMOKE, A 26"ER IS BIG ENOUGH TO DO ABOUT EVERYTHING. JUST SAYIN'.

They’re already gone/tossed
This would certainly be my guess as to what jammed it up. Type and brand is completely secondary at this point.
That was the first jam last fall, not this time

These two auger jams only problem in 3+ years. And yeah, had a Weber, but at this age and health status just need something easier.
