Morning friends.....It's burning a couple miles West of us......There was a fire in that valley 2 years ago...It burned right up to my friends driveway on the East side of his road........This year it burned on the West side of his road right up to his property....He and his wife were on the porch 2 nights ago watching it burn........No homes have been taken yet..

Fortunately he has irrigation and green alfalfa as a buffer surrounding his home.......Last I heard they had bulldozers cuttin' a fire line and had 10% contained and over 1000 acres were burned.....I think they may be winning the battle......5 years ago almost 200,000 acres burned in one fire, burned for 5 months. That was a smokey summer.
So far we've been lucky....At least we can fight fires....unlike our friends on the Eastern seaboard who are pretty much helpless when ma nature strikes........
