Been waiting for a cooler day to make some chili ! Just something wonderfull about chili and home made bread on a cold day . The round loaf of bread is artisan it’s my wife’s favorite . She slices it and takes it to work for toast so I have to make the artesian every couple weeks . The other bread is a fluffy honey white with a egg wash that gives it that golden color . I usaly make 3 loaves but used the dough from one loaf to make seseme seed burger buns. Having bacon cheese burgers tonight with home made buck board bacon . On to the chili . I have been making this chili for about 35 years . everyone seems to love it and everyone has said what the hell mushrooms in chili? Well don’t think I have ever seen chili with mushrooms but again everybody that has had it loves the mushrooms in it ! My chili tends to be on the hot side so not for every one ! I usaly top with grated cheddar cheese but this time I grated smoked hot pepper cheese . Everything turned out excellent!
