I have them whole and in a grinder. Use them both ways for different recipes. Mostly medium grinded. I love the tingle.

I'm wondering, though, if it would work on a ceramic top electric range. I have one for outside use but I'm looking for something I can use in the house.

I've heard of people doing that. But I'd be very careful doing this. The wok does have a heft to it.

Yeah, I think I'll pass. I checked at Meijer this morning and they have a 14" T-Fal for around $30.
I'll go with that. I need more C.I. like I need a hole in the head anyway.

I picked up a carbon steel (not cast iron) flat bottom wok at one of the discount home goods stores. Fantastic on my induction cook top. We haven't used our glass top range in over a year since getting the induction cook top.
