Foilling Ribs

  1. I have read that some smokers foil and some don't. If you choose to foil can you use a foil pan covered with foil instead of wrapping in foil?

    Absolutely!!!

Much less chance of springing a leak in a foil pan, and leaking all your foiling juices to the bottom of your smoker!!!

And you can load the pan to heaping with ribs when you foil it.

  4. Thanks for your prompt responses. Going to try my first ribs tomorrow. I am partially disabled and my hands are not always the most precise. I thought the pan would be easier to get the ribs into without tearing the foil and I can set it on top of my MBE while I cover the pan. Again, thanks.

Another alternative is not using foil. When you have time, check out some of the post in this regard. It's good reading if you want to read the same thing for several days. Foil vs. no foil is one of those things that will never be settled, it's just a personal thing to decide for yourself.

    Good luck with it, Joe
