Smoked a few legs, they turned out ok. I checked the temp and they showed 165-170 but they seamed a little under done. I used smoke for first 15 or so mins. And cooked about 1.5 hour @about 260.
 
Chicken legs can go to 175 or 180 & still be moist.

Also I would keep the smoke rolling the whole time.

Yes....chicken legs and thighs can easily go to 175 and yes, keep the smoke going the whole time.

What wood did you use?
