I bought an electric Masterbuilt and did some decent baby backs to start. I'm going to attempt my 1st Boston Butt this weekend.

Any and all suggestions would help.

    Foil or no foil?

    Prep?

    Final temp for pulled pork?

Thanks all,  Tim

I'm a relative newbie as well with regards to smoking on an MES.  So far I've done 4 Boston butts and they have all turned out great. (thanks to the help on these boards)

Noboundaries is spot on recommending that thread, great info right there.

Figure on about 2 hours per lb at around 225 degrees.  I foiled once and have not foiled the last three times.  I prefer a bit more bark on my PP.

Have fun, pork is pretty forgiving, try not to drink too much as it is a long cook!
