Double Barrel (Big Baby) home made smoker

Hi all...

I'm new to this site, but think that I'll now be spending a LOT of time on here!!!  Some great stuff that I've found so far!  I just wish that it loaded faster, to help combat my ADD personality!  Heh heh heh

Anyway, I have a question:

I have two barrels and all the equipment from Vogelzang to build a double barrel smoker.  If you're unfamiliar, there are two horizontal barrels on top of each other, with the bottom being a firebox and the top being the smoker, connected by two dampers/stovepipes.  I haven't begun construction yet, but will try to find a warm place to work this winter.

Here's the question:  Has anyone used one or had any experience with one?  They look pretty great, but could use some advice from you more...errr..."matured" smokers.

Eric, check out the Smoker Build section of the forum and do a search.  I recall seeing a couple of double barrel builds posted there but I'm not remembering who posted them and how far back.

I just did some checking and SMF Member Nick build one back in '08 and posted some pics of the build.  Here's a LINK to the post.
