My two don't even know that food comes from the dining room table.  The have NEVER got anything from the table.  They're allowed to curl up on my feet while we eat, but that's all.  The only reason they do that is so they immediately know when I get up from the table, so they're not ever late for their after dinner "snack".  LOL

UPDATE:

lost my helper , Atticas , to a tumor on his liver .

the hardest thing i ever had to do. was put him to sleep buthe was to good a dog/friend to let him suffer . the two pics , him sleeping on my pillow , even tho he knew he was not suppose to. the other him in the car enjoying the ride .

He was my eating , drinking , staying up late with the smoker buddy and he wil be missed !

We lost our "Shadow", years ago to a Tumor on his Spleen. 

He looked very much like your Atticas.

Couldn't go very long before I just had to have another best friend and got this little one not long after

thanks to all of you ! we all may live in different places but we sure know how to come together !

i just don't have the heart to get another buddy yet . Maybe later on but not sure i want to go thru the heart break again.

A dog can and will be your best friend for life , when the wife is mad at you , when you lose a family member , when you worry about all the things in your life , he or she will be there wagging the tail to show you that it will be all right in the end .

Love that rope over his nose! Bulldogs are the coolest. (but I'm bias) Mine is featured in post #32.

Here is 2 1/2 of my cleanup crew. Comanche, aka Fatdawg, is an Olde English/red nose pit mix. He is my right hand man and my security expert. At 90 lbs his bark is a heckuva lot worse than his bite. The others are two of our four mouse traps.

This is Layla. She is my shadow, and will clean up almost anything that hits the floor, and some stuff that doesn't hit it......if you are not careful.

She is a Lab mix and was a Katrina refugee. She turned 10 this summer.
