This weekend my father in-law & I built a tandoori oven. This idea was spawned after we saw a video of Georgy Kavkaz grilling in one. Seemed like it was easy enough to build & it definitely was! In all, it took us 5 hours to source & purchase parts, then finally build the oven. The oven cooked at a stable 600F for over 12 hours using just two handfuls of lump charcoal. The chicken that we cooked came out amazingly well. I had assumed that at 600F this would dry the meat out, but it did not at all. I can't wait to experiment with other meats.
