Amazon had the Chefman pizza oven on sale for $229, and I couldn't resist.

This is the first pie. In somewhat of a twist, the dough ball and sauce are grocery store, but I made the Romano, Asiago and White Cheddar cheeses, as well as the pepperoni.

This was using the New York style preset (650F bottom, 600F top). I rotated 2.5 mins into the 5 minute bake, then added an addition 1.5 minutes at the end.

It's not perfect, but I can definitely see that I can get there.

We have an Ooni and there is definatley a learning curve to getting the pie's perfect, but it is so much fun trying and learning. For your first try, this looks dang good and much better than the first one's we did (ended up in the trash).

Nice cook!

Looks good . Nice oven too . Just had one in my cart . Lol . Decided to hold off .
My Son has the solo stove oven , but would be nice to do it inside too .

Gets better as you go .

Nice cook!
Thanks! The second one went better... :)

Looks tasty! I knew before reading it would have your own crafted cheeses!
:) Thank you.

Thanks. I would have been more hesitant if it was full price, but $229 was a steal. Now that I've used it a couple of times, I would absolutely pay full price for it.

Looks good from here.
Thank you.

Nice
Did I visit? It appears I rolled the crust for you. I suck at rolling out dough
Thanks.

LB, Good looking pizza !
Thank you!

That's a great price. I look forward to your results.

This came out legit St. Louis thin crust pizza . I was shocked really .
Second attempt was sub par , third was a fail . Lost it putting it in . I really hate that .
Watched a video of a guy reviewing the Chefman . He was using a mix of semolina and flour to stretch and launch . Game changer . I do 50 / 50 .
I've done a few more , and think I have it figured out . This is a great oven for the price .
So happy you posted when you got yours .

That looks fantastic. After a couple of failed launches, I grabbed one of these, and pull it halfway through.

That's a great way to do it . I was using foil . I have some , but they're 16 " .
I use them to land the pizza after cooking so the bottom doesn't get soggy .
Been looking to get some 12" .
Did this one last Saturday night . 24 hr ferment on the dough .
Ham , salami , pepperoni and red onion . Sauce was canned san marzano that
I crushed and cooked homemade Italian sausage in for another meal .
Olive oil , garlic and pecorino added to the sauce .
Used the New York pre set on the Chefman .
Great chew on the crust .

It's a great oven . I use it to do garlic bread and other things .

That's a great idea for times that it isn't immediately getting sliced.
