Cutting Tri-tip for One

I have a frozen Tri-tip. I normally do the sink full of water to thaw everything. It only me eating and hate to cook the whole thing. Guess I can cut in half and re-freezer other half?
 
I’d cook it whole then cut what you want and freeze the rest. Smoked meats reheat very well, plus with SV it’s a quick easy meal.
 
IF it were me, cook the whole thing, slap it between two halves of toasted italian bread and top w a bit of bbq sauce or chimichuri :emoji_laughing:
