You got me thinking. I have my starter active from SD waffles I made. Not made SD in a long time. I still do that pheasant bread. I think I need to see if I can still make a loaf.

Don't want to beat this to death , but I always like a cut shot ,

Jealous of those excellent loaves
I forgot my SD back north and I finally figured out why the new starter has been stubborn.
Water filter is not getting out all the chlorine.

Oh a BLT with fresh SD and garden fresh mater.
Right!!!
Those look amazing.....YUMMMM!!!
Sourdough bread is one of the things I want to be good at, but my bread turns out like a brick. ( I gave up trying)

Lethal Loaves, should be my new handle. 🤣 🤣 🤣

My method is pretty simple . Get a starter built up and I'll give you the low down .

I'm a good bread maker, but have never tried sourdough for some reason.
I've always done yeast breads . Never really thought about sourdough . When I did I had issues with the starter . Once you get an understanding of whats what , it's pretty simple .
The sour dough really packs the flavor . I use it most for toast , but fresh the day of is killer .

Shower cap ? Not sure what they are made of , Plastic? Not Good !
I would not use them?
WHY?
The ordors are going to effect the bread !
Use a damp towel or
Even a Paper towel moistened

These are what I use . Food safe PE material . You can get them in cloth also , but I wanted a reusable/
disposable option . Made for food storage / bread proofing .

Get it out and give it a good stirring . Then leave it sit on the counter overnight .
Was it fed before going into the fridge ?
