Have the opportunity to purchase a used (Excellent condition, he said) CookShack MSO25 electric smoker. Called manufacturer, they stated it had a PID controller. Am asking resident experts here if it will be a good smoker for sausage? Understand the temperature range is 140℉ - 300℉.
Any concerns? Anything in particular I should examine before handing over my $$?

Plug it in - if it heats and the controller is responsive, grab and enjoy.

I did grab it, Old Sarge! It will be a good addition to my Weber Performer and RecTeq RT-1250. I have tried (unsuccessfully) to cook sausage with those, and so the CookShack will be my go to sausage cooker, and warming oven on occasion.
