Getting two busted up reels took the wind out of my sail on that idea. This is what I went with. Works plenty good enough for me. I made the coil holders so they are out of sight and wont get all janky from being stretched out like my old one.

Thanks brother!I like this. Nice, compact. And out of the way.
thanks Rich! Sounds like a good upgrade on your systemNice setup . Put in a switched recepticle for the compressor , and keep the hose on the right connected .
Flip the switch to start the compressor and pull the hose off the holder .
That's a suggestion for you . Lol . Mine stays plugged in in the shop 27-7 . Cycles on the tank pressure .Sounds like a good upgrade on your system
OOOH, read that all wrong. good idea. That's a suggestion for you . Lol . Mine stays plugged in in the shop 27-7 . Cycles on the tank pressure .
Dave , it's so nice now to walk out and use the air without having to get a hose out and put it away .OOOH, read that all wrong.
All good ideas. Feels like it took me far too long to get to this point. Im gonna take a little break from it for a bit. I do like your ideas for having it more at the ready tho.Dave , it's so nice now to walk out and use the air without having to get a hose out and put it away .
Put a switched outlet in the base cabinet , and leave the one hose hooked . Flip the switch and open the door and your're ready to go . Be even nicer to have a air chuck stubbed above the bench .
I'm just talkin . Should work great as is .
Our MTB's are tubeless, there is no way to get a tubeless tire to seal without a compressor (IMO).At least monthly I power up my home shop air compressor for a 30psi car tire or a 85psi bike tire, or an impact wrench. But I was pretty impressed with how my son's battery-based torque wrench recently removed a 40yo stuck crankshaft bolt. I might re-think the need of a home shop air compressor. Mine's still working, but not sure I'd replace should it fail.

Blow one of those big tires with 8 ton of dry lime on, going around a terrace, with that tire on the downhill side! Deflates instantly and requires a shorts cleaning! That's how they seat beads on large floater tractor tires. Takes a couple cans of starter fluid
