Thought i'd fire up Buford and see how he does in the cold weather!
28* this mornin, 5# of Rancher in the basket, brought pit up to 250*
2 racks of spare's cut down St. louis style (brisket, tip's and membrane removed) rubbed with a couple different rub's i got in trade and threw on smoker..........

Allright, cool..........im trying to round up a camera here.
Buford's runnin about 230ish but having to really babysit the damper.
Got him all wrapped up in a welding blanket
Will start spritzing at 1:00 with AJ/Capt.
Gonna toss on 4 chicken 1/4's on the hot side later on with at least 1 fatty............might stuff it!!

Good luck to you on smoking today. I have problems keeping my MES up to temp when it's in the 40s so unless we have a warm snap, I'm done until spring.

I hope you'll be patient with my ignorance, but what's a Rancher?
 
Great minds think alike ... temps are the same here and I'm a smokin' ... my camera works.

I guess this is the right thread when you have a mixed smoke ... I have side ribs, quail, buffalo/jalapeño sausage, Yukon Gold taters and ABT s on.

Nope, still got the trusty Nextel.........ordered a new Verizon for Cindy, suppost to come today, if i can figure THAT out!!! lol

My phone has a camera but I don't know how to get them out of it. Even bought a cable and still got nothing. It's old though about 3 years old.
 
you can usually send pitures to a email address from the phone. what type of phone do you have?

Just pulled off the ribs after their 2 hr steam, put the chicken 1/4's on and let the rib tip's go.......the brisket meat dissapeared!!

Here's the rib's, unfoiled and goin in the oven for a glaze, got Buford cranked up for the chicken,
BTW, i finally had to add some charcoal (almost 5 hrs on 5#!!)

Looking good, bubba!! You're making me hungry for some Q. Wonder if a welding blanket would help my MES? Maybe I'll just have to take some of that pulled pork out of the freezer.
