Morning Smokers. Put together a fairly easy great dinner last night figured I would share with you. I posted a CI grilled chicken alfredo last week and it was a huge hit. Had requests to make it again so figured I would toss in a couple of them this time and with a twist. Pic heavy but I will try to keep it fairly short and simple.

Started by cutting up 4 links of chicken Italian sausage(store bought).

Browned it up a little in a pan.

Normally I would grill this but was running short on time. Cut up two chicken breasts and tossed them in a pan with a little Italian dressing, some garlic powder, and a little Italian seasoning.

Here is everything ready to assemble. Lightly sauced the noodles. One bowl in garlic alfredo and the other in marinara. Chicken and Sausage.

Add a little sauce in the bottom of the CI, then a layer of noodles, and chicken on top.

Same with the Marinara except with sausage.

Added mozzarella, parmesan, a little cheddar, and a little more sauce.

Repeat on both dishes until you have two layers. You end up with this.

Ready for the grill. Tried to stay around 350-375 for about 35-40 minutes.

Had to make some of my famous re-purposed garlic bread. Hot dog buns this time.

Was hungry and forgot to get a plated shot but here are the remnants afterwards.

All in all I think I had maybe 30 minutes of prep time in this and another 40 or so of grilling/drinking beer time. These were both excellent! Great flavors in both dishes and the cast iron really set it off. Gave it a nice light crispiness to it and then a nice flavor off the grill same as last time. Sorry that was such a long post but thanks for checking it out. If you haven't gotten into the CI grilling yet I would most certainly give it a shot. I don't see how anyone could be disappointed!

Wow, that looks great John, I could dig into that, Like! I've got to get off my butt soon and break out the CI pans. Had them about three weeks now and done nothing, tho you've given me some great ideas and inspiration. RAY

No way I cannot try this! Bookmarked the page.

Looking good John! Just got back from lunch but I could take a spoonful of both!

Did you try prepping the noodles with chicken broth like you mentioned?

Thanks Ray appreciate it man! You gotta get something going in those CI pans. Robert is a little more creative than I am when it comes to CI but its been fun learning.

Thanks Dave! I will say the one I did with grilled chicken last week was better but man these were good. The family enjoyed the sausage marinara more but I liked the chicken alfredo. Easy to do and something different. The CI and grilled flavor really sets it off. Try it out soon!

Thanks Joe. Nah I was running short on time and didn't have enough broth anyways so just did the ole water boil. Bet that grilled romaine would have gone well with this!
