As I was making dinner tonight (shrimp tacos) I realized that I like to use chop sticks alot when cook. I use them to scramble eggs and flip stuff while pan searing. They are cheap and you don't have more dishes.

Anyone else do this or an I just an odd duck. Well odder duck.

No chopsticks here either! Not talented enough! I like to think of them as oversized tooth picks

No doubt your an odd duck :emoji_laughing: not sure about how many people use chopsticks

No talent here either... Tried and failed MANY times.... You are an outlier... CONGRATS on mastering small muscle coordination where others have failed...

I can't stand the fork'in things, I'll eat with my fingers before I pick up two sticks to eat with. (truth)

I was taught how to use chop sticks at an early age because I had an Asian friend in grade school. His mom taught me how to use them because if I stayed over for supper, that is what I had to use as there were no forks in the house! True story!

I dated an Asian chick in high school, and the last thing her parents were worried about when I was over was teach'in me how to eat with two sticks. 😂 😂 😂

I use them regularly, I have a number of the wooden throwaway style you get from the takeout places, but I also have 2 sets of metal ones that I use for various stuff at home.
They are great for eating cheetos and not getting your fingers orange and when eating pickle chips outta the jar, no messy fingers! Oh, and for sushi too....

Only used them for sushi. Never thought to use them while cooking. Might be a good idea since most of the pans I have is the non-stick. But I do use my cast iron the most.

No Chinese take-out joints? I get a ton from there all the time when I remember to ask

I never went in one.
I had enough "Asian" cooking in 1969, when I ate in the Victoria Hotel, in Saigon. I ordered "Duck", and found out later it was actually "Dog"pronounced by the Vietnamese waitress.
