Hey all,

New to the forums, obviously, but I’ve been BBQn for at least 10 years now. Got into smoking when I got an Oklahoma Joe a few years back and it’s been an obsession ever since.

I do love tri-tip, I kind of have to, it is the dish made famous here, but ever since that first bite of smoked brisket in Texas there’s been no turning back.

Anyways, looking forward to interacting with everyone and swapping recipes, techniques and whatever else.

Have a good one,
Booey

Welcome...also central coast....to bad the state is so messed up cause it is a great spot.
I hear ya on that. The thought of moving out of state has been growing stronger and stronger after the last few years. Love the place but it’s not what it was 10 years ago.

Welcome to SMF from SacTown. Glad you're here and enjoying the smoke on the coast. I hear ya about brisket, but if you want to blow your mind, read some of the threads about smoking a tri tip like brisket. It will go against every ounce of your tri tip experience and instinct........and probably surprise you.

Enjoy the forum!

Welcome to the forum from the other screwy state on the east coast.

Welcome from Central Coast, Carmel Valley. The state is so screwed up I too want to move. The local water fiasco just adds to that. The new gov is just gasoline on the fire.

Time for some Q & a beer. Only way to stay sane in the middle of this true insanity.

Shoot at least you’re in Carmel! That place is beautiful. I drive up that way every so often for a reprieve from dryness of Santa Maria.

I do have to agree; good Q and beer is probably the best way to escape the madness when you can.

Good morning and welcome from a rainy East Texas
