So I started the Cajun pork tenderloin out at 300 deg indirect on the Mak 1 star. Once the temp hit 120 deg I seared it off at 400 deg direct. I served it with Cajun rice and beans.

First time using the Mak flame zone! It did a great job. Can’t wait to try a steak at 500 deg!

Bking, that looks awesome. I love pork loin and that looks next level. Rice looks great as well. Care to share the recipe of the Cajun rice

I don't know what a Mak flame is, but the results look great!

Mak grills is a pellet smoker company. The flame zone is something that allows you to grill with direct flame. Comes standard on the Mak 2 star and is an accessory on the Mak 1 star which is what I have.

It’s just the Zatarans rice and beans mix with a can of Original Rotel. Cooked the rice and bean mix and the Rotel together in a rice cooker. It was just alright. It wasn’t my favorite Zatarans product. I love their Jambalaya mix though.

Thanks, ill have to take a look at the Jambalaya mix. That sounds awesome.

Looks great man points for sure.

If you ever make it to the Maryville area there is a little hole in the wall authentic Jamaican restaurant called Jamaican sunrise. It’s only a drive thru but some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. You can buy whole mason jars of amazing homemade jerk sauce. I buy the hot stuff and rub down pork tenderloins to smoke all the time. Out of this world good.

I looked it up. It’s just an hour away. My wife and I might head down there sometime. Never been to a Jamacian restaurant before

Totally worth the drive. Like I said just a drive thru but if you wait until it’s warmer he has some picnic tables out back. Pulled pork ribs chicken etc... all smoked Jamaican style.

Here is a pic of a tenderloin I did a couple weeks ago slathered in their hot jerk sauce added some fresh jalapeños onions and garlic. Smoked up real nice!

Awesome looking meal!
I just made Canadian bacon with a couple of tenderloins.
After seeing yours I wish I would have saved one for the grill or smoker.
Nice job!
