For my birthday last week one of the kids got me a Votex for my 22/5 Kettle.

Decided some chicken wings were in order.

Marinaded over night in a mixture of cherry juice, chipotle power, garlic, grapeseed oil, Juice of 2 limes, rub, and a little water.

Also did a pork tenderloin. Put just rub on that one and let it rest for a few hours.

Put them on the grill with the vortex going.

Seared off the pork then back inside to the Sous Vide. Here it fresh off the fire.

Here it is done.

Also made Crab Rangoon and Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls

Here is the steak mixture. Just steak and onion. I used a new thin sliced ribeye. Will go back to doing a while ribeye then cutting into pieces.

Got a horrible picture of them plated.

Also made beans and the wife made meatballs. We had Sweet slider rolls. Here is the meatballs and the pork sliced and topped with beans.

Sorry for the lack luster amount of pictures. Ill do better next time.

The wings were left naked with no sauce added. Turned our very nice with the vortex. I can't wait to use it more.

Thanks for looking everyone.

Nice looking spread Brian, and happy belated birthday. Enjoy that Vortex it's amazing what you can do with it.

Point for sure
Chris

Vortex is awesome... Isn't it ?
Next time line the bottom of the kettle around the vortex with aluminum foil to catch all that grease... It also helps block the air and makes it go up through the vortex ... Equals a hotter fire...

Thighs work well with the vortex too... Single cut ribs are awesome as well...

But everything needs the foil under them to catch the drippings... Otherwise you'll have a big mess in the bottom of the kettle...
