I'm bout to smoke a boston butt should I smoke it with the fat side up or down

I always trim as much fat as possible and put it on the pit with the trimmed side up.

Hello and welcome to SMF,  it's about a 50/50 is you ask a lot of people, I usualy trim mine pretty close and smoke fat side up, But I have done them both ways, Really didn't notice much difference.
