What wood or combination of woods work well with burgers? And how long to smoke?

I haven't tried it yet but wanted to get some ideas. I am thinking mesquite by itself or maple.

Posada, out here in the western part of the world we use tons of hickory. Hickory is king here at the WR. Good luck.

good point th, I should a told ya... I usally smoke for an hr and then finsh on the grill myself. good luck

Thanks TH. Make that hickory thin and blue for sure. To much smoke can make ya feel sick. Hope the burgers go well.
