what is better to get steel drum  with a food liner or one with out?

If you can get a drum without a liner that is the best way to go. The liners need to be burnt, ground off or sand blaster off.

For mine I had it sand blasted. Cost me $25. The outfit that powder coated the exterior did the sand blasting. Total cost for sand blasting and powder coating was $75.
