Good day all,

I smoked a couple briskets over the holiday season.  Served the flats, saved the points.  Wrapped well & froze them.  They were smoked for about 4 hours, after being cut off the flat.

What's the best way to prepare them after thawed?

Cube and make burnt ends?

Put them in the oven for a few hours and slice/chop for sandwiches?

I'm new at the Brisket game.  Usually just bought a small piece of the flat.  The "Holiday" ones were my first "Packers".

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to SMF.

As for what to do with the points, it sounds like you have some good plans already. The points probably won't slice well after reheating, but they'll shred and chop nicely.

Burnt ends are always a hit.

Burnt ends are always good. Like Al I was thinking chili or stew. Another option would be to chop or shred and make Shepards pie. How about shredded beef enchiladas?

I like making homemade BBQ hot pockets with my leftovers. I take a car of crossants, roll it out flat, stuff them with brisket, sauteed onions and shrooms, sprinkle some cheese and top with BBQ sauce. Bake em in the over then fend off the hounds

Thanks everyone.

After consulting with "She Who Must Be Obeyed", I'll be trying the Burnt End route.

I'll gladly accept any tips from you guys.  Again, it'll be my 1st try.  I'll look up some recipes here.
