got a good recipe for breakfast sasauge? I could use one. bought some spare ribs on sale ( .99 a #, couldnt pass it up). turned out to not have much "rib" at all. thats ok tho got some cute ribs and a couple pounds of trimmins. could use some suggestions on b.s. (breakfast sausage, not the other bs got plenty of that). JR
 
I am going to be making some in a few weeks as well. I was just going to buy a package but if someone has a really good recipe I would love to try that instead.
 
Here's my dad's recipe; real simple and good old fashioned country breakfast sausage.

8 oz salt
2 oz pepper
1 oz sage

Mix together in a ziploc and shake up thoroughly.

Measure out ½ oz per pound of meat. 8 lbs. of meat is 4 oz. of seasoning.

thank you for the responses i went with the salt pepper and sage and added some crushed red pepper and a bit of brown sugar and maple extract. cant wait to try it
