I was thinking there would be bigger piles of snow, that blower must really send it flying! Glad to hear it's getting back to normal.
Thank You!!

My Son did the main Driveway, and where he did it there's huge piles.

I just did my Driveway up to where it meets his with my Gravely & Blower.

That thing will blow a Dry snow like this one was, up to 100 feet. I keep it blowing almost straight up to spread it out, unless the wind is blowing back at me. Then I lower the top deflector so it doesn't blow far. That thing works Awesome!!!

The only problem is when the snow is deeper than 22", I have to raise the blower off the ground, then move into it about 10'. Then back up, lower it to the ground, and go forward again to clean it up.

In other words, Snows over 22" deep I have to do twice to get it down to the Blacktop.

Once I had to clear a waist-high drift blocking a sidewalk, and instead of randomly shoveling at it I used the shovel to cut out blocks like giant sugar cubes. It was like I quarried it out.

My blower is a late 1970s Jacobsen 2-stroke. This was 2008.
Yup----Whenever we have to shovel, we always cut it in shovel size blocks. That makes it so much easier when it doesn't fall apart as you're lifting it.

Years ago, before I had any blower, I took 3 days to shovel the driveway I had at that time. There was a Drift that was about 50' long & 7' high. It was like digging a grave, having to throw the snow up 9 or 10' to keep it from falling back in the driveway.

Maybe you won't have to do the raising and lowering thing anymore

That is because the roads in Texas are crowned in the center so heavy rains will roll off. I've seen cars sitting still on these crowned roads slide down to the ditches.

Glad you survived!  Boston got 110 inches last year.  It was brutal.
Thanks!!

I know about that---I got a Nephew who lives in Boston.

Great pictures love the one looking out your garage with the snow blower . I have never got to use one but sounds like fun I would be like let me at lt lol.
Thank You!!

It's a lot more fun when it's not deeper than the height of my blower!!

I am so happy you were safe through all this, Bear. That's a lot of snow all at once even by Canadian Rockies' standards.

Got news for you; even up here in Yankee Land, 6 to10 inches will pretty much shut things down for awhile, at least in a city. I can't even imagine 31"...
And I get a kick out of seeing the urban cowboys realizing they now have 4 wheels going nowhere instead of just 2.[emoji]128522[/emoji]
Yup---It was a Pain. A lot of plows were getting stuck, but my Son's Ram Diesel with "Boss" V-plow went right through it.

I'm definitely ready for Spring!!

Dang! I thought the 24" was bad in Central Jersey. No Son's here...The look on my daughter's boyfriend's face was priceless when he showed up the morning it stopped snowing...JJ

Al, you can't make Snow Angels in that Powder. It would cave in on the Bear and you wouldn't find him 'til Spring.
LOL----After the clean-up is done, I make my Angels on my Recliner!!

Ours are crowned too, but the Potholes in Pennsylvania keep us from sliding to far on the roads.

Thank You Disco!!

Nice of you to say!!

It's going down fast now---Only about a foot left, and our country roads are again back to full width.
