Cooking for 25 tomorrow ... With high winds predicted (we lose power a lot )..I started the smoke today . Pork butt chicken thighs for pullin jalapeno cornbread and wicked beans with some extra "beanage"

Looks like a great meal, way to be resourceful with the back up cooker. Hope the weather gets better for you.

Cant wait to see the finish

You got it going on Rip. Can’t let a little power outage ruin the party

Inverter's can drag down a battery pretty quickly. When I'm using my 300 watt inverter to run my electronics at remote sites, I connect it inside my truck then periodically start my engine to recharge the battery.
But I wouldn't try to run a pellet grill with it. When the heating rod kicks in, pop goes your fuses.

For your power issues I'd get a generator. Minimum would be this quiet little 1000 watt Honda version. It's more than is needed to maintain the party, and easily stored or transported.
You can't run a ton of stuff with this small of a generator, but with a little forethought it could save a lot of inconvenience.

I don't have many power outages here. But my back-up is our RV with it's 4,000 watt generator, or my little 300 watt Inverter.

Of course, the cost of an $800 1000 watt generator could buy a heck of a lot of charcoal for stand by Queing.... (And it is absolutely quiet)

Well ourp power came back on 4 hrs before the party snd all was well. Everything turned out great and as usual, the beans and cornbread stole the show. .. .
