That's awesome. You will notice a huge difference in the meat quality and the size you can grind
 
but you know i really can't complain about the little grinder , it has ground well over 2000 lbs of pork and is still going...the little one weights about 5-6 lbs ...the big one weights 48 lbs ....it was quite a little workhorse
 
You are keeping the little feller around as a spare, right?
 
yes i'm keeping the little fella , i have gotten kinda attached to it , the brand and size i bought was a Walton # 12 , its 3/4 HP and has a nice big throat to poke meat down

Just be careful none of the meat you poke down there isn't attached to you in any way!

i think its going to take some getting used to the larger surface area of the bigger plates and i might need to buy a different fine plate , it came with 4.5 mm fine plate and my old one measured 5/16 its not a lot of difference in size but the new bigger one has a lot more holes
