Hi all,

hope everyone is having a good weekend.

it’s the question that’s been asked a thousand times. Everywhere I read and video on YouTube I watch tends to lean towards the Kamado Joe for its innovative features. Are there any arguments for choosing the BGE over the Kamado though?

hoping to make the move into getting one of them in the next few months

thanks all!

If you want to really confuse the issue, add Goldens cast iron the the list. Awesome looking and very durable .

The "kamado" design has been around for a couple of thousand years and manufacturers have just been improving the material and various features. I've owned Eggs for 20+ years, and there were only a couple of choices then. Now, there are plenty to choose from.

I think you should take a look at the price, warranty and features.... then make your decision. Also look at this site for various aftermarket accessories, they are top quality.

I have a kamado Joe classic and love it. I priced and compared to big green egg and at the time with everything included it was a much better deal. Recently bought a rec teq bull and haven’t used the kamado Joe as much but it’s more of a convenience thing than anything. I still love the Joe.

Thanks. There’s a massive price difference where I live between the versions, i.e Classic 1 v Classic 3. Do you think the version upgrades are worth the price difference?
