Best use for lump charcoal crumbles?

I like the lump but the variation in size of the pieces is a problem. The few biggest chunks, OK, easy to use those. But when you get down to the shake at the bottom of the bag, it'll just drop through a grate or fire basket. Some of it is just powder.

What's the best use for that? Step in it barefoot and leave actual carbon footprints?
