Hello everyone, I'm just starting to get into smoking meats and so far this site has proven to be a great resource.  I have been successful so far with ribs and chicken quarters, and now I'm looking to move on to bigger and better meats.  I have already been made an honorary member of the  Big Gravy BBQ team out of Victoria, TX due mostly in part to a friend and my job (US Navy) and I hope to live up to their award winning standards.

Welcome DWM1978! Whereabouts in Florida are you? Gainesville here, recently moved back up from Fort Lauderdale.

This forum is great and full of very knowledgeable people. If you have any questions, comments, concerns be sure to post them and you'll likely get a reply very quickly!

Also, when you get a chance you should check out our South Florida Gathering that we hold every year (this is the 3rd year running). We'd love to have you! http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/138307/2013-south-florida-gathering-3rd-annual-nov-8-10th
