I was always to thrifty (frugal, tight) to buy beef tenderloin but these were on sale and I picked one up. Right now I am planning on cutting this up for steaks, vacuum packing, and freezing. I have seen some threads on roasts and was wondering if anyone has smoked a beef tenderloin roast.

I usually cut mine up for steaks. Malcolm Reed (How To BBQ Right) has a good video on cutting one up and using each part on YouTube
