Well, all good things eventually end. My vacation is over. I might as well go out big. I was given a gift card for Snake River Farms - I decided to order their "American Wagyu" Beef ribs. I'd have a hard time justifying the cost, but, it was a gift.

The rack weighed in at an even 7 pounds...

I seasoned them up with my favorite beef rub ... Meat Church's Holy Gospel.

I put them on the Yoder set to 275F and let them smoke away with Oak pellets...

After 5 hours I pulled them and wrapped them in pink butcher paper ....

After a total of 9 hours they were done. They were "probe tender" all over .... it was like sticking a hot knife into soft butter.

I rewrapped them, put them in a heated cooler with a few towels, and went to my brother's house for dinner. There's no way I can eat this hunk o' meat by myself! After about a 1-1/2 hour rest I pulled them from the cooler, and proceeded to carve them into slices. Man oh man, was this meat tender.

Finally ... time to eat! My nephew made some deviled eggs and a pickled cucumber salad .... my brother made some beans. Good food always tastes better with family by your side.

I'm not gonna lie ... they were pretty darned good TNJAKE TNJAKE . Fatty and moist in all the right ways. I've got 1 more rack in the freezer ... after that, unless I hit the lottery, I don't know if I'll have them again. They are an expensive indulgence.

Man I bet those are just decadent. Much like you I can’t see my way to buying them but if I was gifted a card that’s what I’d buy too. Great meal overall man love the sides too.

Sorry to hear your vacation came to an end but you brought it to a closure in grand fashion. Great looking ribs, that's for sure!! Nice job.

Beef ribs on the smoker is about my most favorite thing to cook and eat, tied with prime rib. With that great bark and pullback, probe tender, I'd bet those Wagyu ribs were off the charts, beautiful piece of work, congrats on the ride, Like! RAY

Would love to try some Wagyu some day!
im with you. maybe one day. not this day. I have looked, many times. couldnt part with the $$. but a gift/gift card - thats a perfect reason! I am a horrible gift receiver because I buy what I like and need when when both occurrences happen... maybe ill just ask for SRF/CPM gift cards - everyone wins!

seeing this cook sure makes me want to try some tho!

Awesome 👌. you got to do something like that at least once in your life. I haven’t done the WAGYU experience myself yet, but its one of those things on my bucket list. Beef ribs are my most-ist favorit-ist bbq item surpassing even brisket. Glad you could share the experience with family. Its like going fishing and the Big one gets away, no body to believe your not just telling a big fish story!.
