This Sunday top/bottom rounds will go on sale for 3.99/lb at Market Basket so I'll be stocking up. And this week the st.louis ribs were on sale for $2.99 so grabbed another rack to add to the pile.

And in an aside chix and 1 1/4 lobsters are retailing in several places at $7.99/lb so that means I'll be taking a trip out to the point and loading up at $3.99/lb, yay me.

Brisket at Costco yesterday was $5.99 . I didn't see anybeef primals or sub primals . They had 4 packs of strip and rib steaks , and smaller rib and strip roasts . $18.99 a pound . So you're paying at least a couple bucks a pound for the knife work on top of an already high price .
My Son was looking for beef plate ribs . Crazy . Package price was $170.00 for 2 - 4 bone sections . Not much meat on them either .
We left with pasta sauce and a jar of Kinders garlic salt .

GFS has 81/19 ground beef on sale for $4.19 . 10 lb. chub . Last time I bought 40 lbs and broke it onto 1.5 lb. packs .
I also buy the unsliced deli meats . They average around $5.50 a pound .
Its getting real hard to pay the price for beef. Steaks for $19.lb and Costco is not right. Ground here was on sale for $9. I stocked up a few months ago when it was more like $6

I made a trip to Costco today. Their choice Tri-tip was $13.99 lb! Glad I still have a small one in the freezer.
Choice brisket, $6.49 lb, Prime $6.99. They only had skin-on pork belly, for $3.99 lb.
Time to go freezer diving!
Some friends told me their Loaded Baked Potato Salad is good, so I picked up one of those.
If you haven't opened it yet, their Loaded Baked Potato Salad is awesome!
