Be careful what you wish for

Its been so unseasonably warm and dry this spring that people have been praying for some precipitation before everything dies.  Well, they got it.  This is the scene that greeted me through my front window this morning.

As these things generally go, yesterday I hauled 2 quads to the auction and consigned them for sale Saturday morning. It is, and this goes without saying, an outdoor sale--the biggest auction of the year around here.  So, no, I'm not real pleased.

We had fresh snow south of town this morning but not in town. We've had a wet and windy spring. Waiting patiently for summer...

We left Alaska about this time of year in 2013, it snowed about this amount the night before we left.  Always good to keep the Cheechakos on their toes ;)

Well, the May long weekend up here is generally lousy weather, but I was hoping......................

We have had a bunch of rain and they say the reservoirs are low,only 1 heavy snow this winter.

No snow down here but EEeeextremely dry!!and 3-4 weeks early.Great spring for hatching/calving etc.Hope things are looking up for u fellas in alberta:)

I'll take a crappy spring over that any year.
