Made up a batch of ABT's yesterday, cored jalapenos, jambalaya, dungeness crab, crawfish tail, and bacon. Smoked em 1.5 hours. Really nice. Also did some BB ribs for lunch, also really nice.

Combined them, and made some nachos for lunch today.

Good lord, Jim- You put out some of the most mouth-watering food! Beautiful nachos and what a taste combination! How'd the bacon taste with the crawfish and crab? Sounded real good to me, yum!

thanks.

i was impressed with how the rice in the jambalaya held up o the smoke(rice stayed moist & even plumped up a bit). The whole mix of the ABT was good, my pics really didnt turn out of them(was thinking of them for the throwdown but pics were dark). Just another way to use up a few crawfish tails & dungeness crab body segments I had left from NYE.

On the nachos they came togther good as well. I also used some smoked cheddar(a gift) as one of the cheeses along with jack, and queso fresco.

I was going to use these nachos as my throwdown entry, but forgot the placard with the code word... doh... The month is young, plenty of times to do some other things.

Oh man that is a premium plate of nachos!!!
That makes me want to go to Taco Bell, buy some of their nachos, slap them around, throw them in the trash and yell vulgarities at them for even attempting to call themselves a comparative name to your creation.

I guess what I'm trying to say is those nachos look awesome and I bet they tasted even better!

thanks,

typically I need some slices of pickled jalapeno, but the abt's on board nixed that requirement.

smokey, and good.

Man that didn't come from no STINKING TACO BELL... That looks GREAT...
