Having pets brings real joy to a household yet the worst part is having to loose them. We had to put down our cat after 17 years due to medical issues. Very painful but the wife quickly wanted another and we have a very energetic feline bouncing around the house again. The worst pain came last week, when both of her horses had to be put down. I can't begin to describe the pain she is still going through. Looking back, I'd still say having them immensely filled both our lives with joy and wouldn't change that decision. The price for all that enjoyment comes with the responsibility to make the final decision to keep them from suffering. I'm so sorry for what you had to go through, truly feel your pain David.
