Holy cow! I'm thumbing through the Christmas catalog from Figi's and I noticed they are selling "applewood smoked" hams and turkeys. For a 7# ham they're getting $99.99. I could buy a whole pig for that much! Lol...

For an 8# turkey the turkey is $79.99?!?!?!

I think we all need to start selling our wares!

I only make enough to eat! Makes you wonder how much stuff they sell those fancy color brochers aren't cheap! I got three from Jack Stack lately I orderd once from them almost a year ago, then I bought my own smoker!!!

I am a very good baker and cook and produce pretty good sausage and bacon. People often suggest that I should open a shop. Not considering the cost of the shop and the permits. I need to take home about $200 per day 5 days a week to continue my current lifestyle. Maybe I could clear a dollar per pound for bread and meat. But I would have to work 12 hours per day to turn out that much product. I wouldn't have time to sell it. So I would have to hire someone to handle sales. Now I have a payroll and I have to produce more product. I need some help in the kitchen so I hire some more help now I need to sell more product.
