I bought the Masterbuilt Pro MPS 230 today. I followed the instructions to season the smoker. After the one hour time elapsed, I turned the propane to let the smoker cool. When I opened the doors, I saw paint bubbles in the wood chip/chunk tray and a white, chalky residue around the burner. I’m worried that continued use will release toxins, especially into the cooking meats. Are my concerns warranted, or are the mentioned occurrences normal for this smoker?

Nothing to worry about. The biggest reason Seasoning is recommended is to burn off manufacturing oils and coatings...JJ
