Any other SMF Bourbon/Whiskey "enthusiasts"?

I hope that’s true, but not around here. Here in New Hampshire, they do “ghost drops” at the liquor stores. I scored a bottle of that when the last drop happened at my local liquor store.

This is what I scored then.

Nice score! Almost all Buffalo Trace products are showing up in quantity at the liquor stores here. The owner of the store I use told me this week that the delivery driver said he's having stores turn down deliveries of Blanton's because they already had too much. He said he had 6 cases. All of the products you bought and more are on the shelf now at MSRP. Never thought I'd see the day. Just reinforces what I read about bourbon consumption being down.

It would be nice if they’d send some here. Blanton’s was also in the last drop, but I didn’t get a bottle. I broke my budget buying what I bought.

This thread makes me wish I could still drink bourbon and whiskey.

It gives me such a headache.

Not as bad as beer, 1 sip of beer triggers an "almost migraine" - not a true migraine, but man it's torture.

On sale at the New Hampshire liquor store for $36.95 for the 1.75L bottle. Regular price is $62.

Edit: that sounds like an advertisement. I just thought it was a great deal. That’s about $25 off.

I live about 20 minutes from Woodinville Whiskey; been patronizing them since they opened several years ago, and am on their mailing list for events and new products. So I was a bit surprised when I stumbled onto this at my Total Wine store. (Also bought the Still Austin to try.)
I'm seldom disappointed with anything they put out, and this was no exception. Quite good, and I love the maple finish.
